WHO WE ARE

Diesel Electrical Equipment Inc. was established in 1986, and founded by George P. Pappas, a 30 year veteran of the Illinois Central Railroad, who had the foresight to realize the need for alternatives to servicing small electrical switchgear in house. His vision was to offer a cost-effective, timely and quality product contracted outside of the railroad’s electrical shops. Since then, we have provided the rail industry and transit authorities with quality electrical maintenance services and products throughout the years.

Today, Diesel Electrical Equipment, Inc. not only meets the challenges of offering these cost competitive services to the railroads, we have expanded in offering services and products to meet the needs of  Class 1, Regional and Shortline railroads along with prime contractors overseeing larger locomotive projects.

Under today’s management team, we are able to provide our customers with the quality and timely services they need to in order meet the challenges of today’s business environment.
